Build a day-by-day timeline
Write down your arrival date, each overnight stay and your departure date. Put the airport city next to the first hotel and check the transfer is possible. For trips with multiple stops, add each check-out and next check-in. This simple timeline exposes gaps before you submit anything.
Cross-check each confirmation
Use the passport name on the flight request and the correct guest name on every hotel request. Check that flights and hotels use the same trip dates as the visa application. If your flight lands after midnight, the local arrival date may be different from the departure date. Remember that hotel cancellation conditions are property-specific.
Keep the documents genuine
A flight hold and a hotel booking are separate real reservations. Their references must be issued by the relevant booking systems; neither should be made up to make the itinerary look tidy. If availability forces a change, revise your plan and your other documents accordingly. A matched set makes your travel plan clearer but cannot guarantee visa approval.
Requirements vary by destination and visa category. Check the relevant embassy or consulate’s current checklist. A reservation is not a paid ticket, is not valid for travel, and does not guarantee a visa.
